The 2011 IA Summit in Denver, CO next March 30th will be an event to remember. Today we're rolling out the new website and inviting you to propose a session. There is a lot in store ahead of us, so let's get started!
Propose a session
The IA Summit is your opportunity to spend 5 days with the best in the field learning about new ideas, exploring common challenges and sharing your experiences. It's an event by the community for the community so your participation is key. You can propose a session now. You have until November 25th.
This year we'll work with you from the time you send in your proposal to the day of your presentation to help not just select the best content, but also to support you in developing your session. Keep in mind that those who take the time to contribute to the community this way are rewarded with a complimentary registration!
Sponsor the IA Summit
Are you hiring? Do you provide services or offer products of interest to information architects and other user experience professionals? Do you want to support a conference that continues to expand and challenge the practice of information architecture? The IA Summit is a great opportunity to reach your audience and promote what you have to offer to the community.
If you are interested in sponsoring the Summit, please get in touch. We offer many flexible ways to expose your brand and unique opportunities to engage with attendees. Since the event is organized on a volunteer basis and is not a for-profit event, sponsors are a very important part of making the IA Summit successful. We count on your support!
Attending the event on March 30th, 2011 is really the icing on the cake. In addition to proposing a session today, you can volunteer to lead many of the outings planned in beautiful Denver, find others to extend your time in town site-seeing, or do any of the various traditional Summit activities, such as leading the popular topic tables during lunch. We'll write more soon talking about these opportunities, so stay tuned!
In the coming weeks we'll be making a number of important announcements, including the 2011 Keynote speaker, Closing Plenary speaker, Workshops and opening registration so you can guarantee your spot. Please continue to get your updates from the website and be sure to follow @iasummit on Twitter so you don't miss out.
Check back next week as we announce our keynote speaker and other upcoming activities. If you have questions, leave a comment or get in touch.
